Cheap Cologne Smile

Wrote this while listening to the blues.*Cheap Cologne Smile*

My love has entangled me in a web.
My heart fades
when darkness falls
on this lazy town,
where your sinister smile
engulfs the room.
I can only watch.

You have no idea what you do to me.
It’s poison ivy showing up
when on vacation.

I am drawn to you,
but it springs up.
It takes away my courage,
and I fade back into the wall.

The room full of cheap cologne and blunt.
It’s last call.
I send him a drink anyway.
And leave.
